Giorgio A. Tsoukalos is a man with an interesting idea about human history. His theory, which he calls “The Martian Man,” suggests that ancient aliens have played a role in shaping human civilization as we know it. Though his ideas may seem far-fetched to some, Mr. Tsoukalos has plenty of evidence to back him up.

Mr. Tsoukalos has appeared on various television shows to discuss his theory, including Ancient Aliens and America’s Book of Secrets with host Mark L. Walberg. He is also the editor-in-chief of Legendary Times magazine and a frequent speaker at conferences worldwide about ancient aliens and their possible role in mankind’s history.
Giorgio A. Tsoukalos is most famous for his appearance in the History Channel series, Ancient Aliens, where he attempts to give viewers insight into some popular theories surrounding extraterrestrial life and its impact on human civilization throughout history. His ideas are certainly compelling enough: civilizations such as the Egyptians, Mayans, Greeks, Chinese, Incas, and Easter Islanders all share similar themes in their mythologies that could point to extraterrestrial involvement, such as the possible use of “mirrors in the sky” (spacecraft) and gods coming down from above to rule over man. Mr. Tsoukalos has appeared on many other shows besides Ancient Aliens, including America’s Book of Secrets and The Joe Rogan Experience podcast.

Giorgio A. Tsoukalos was born in Ptolemaida, Greece on October 28th, 1962. He comes from a long line of distinguished academics who held important positions at universities around Europe. In fact, it may have been his family history that inspired his interest in the possibility of extraterrestrial life. Giorgio’s grandfather, Haralampos A. Tsoukalos, was a Professor of Archaeology and Art History at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Greece) and also served as an ambassador to several countries throughout Europe.
Giorgio attended high school at the American Community Schools in Athens, Greece. He then earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Queens College in New York City before moving to Los Angeles and earning a Master’s degree from UCLA (University of California, Los Angeles) Film School. After graduating, he began working for Universal Studios Hollywood as a set designer and has worked on numerous films including Rambo III, Jurassic Park: The Ride, and Terminator 2: 3D.
Giorgio met his wife, Kathy, in 1994 while working on the film “Last Action Hero” in Los Angeles. The couple married two years later in 1996. They have resided in Studio City ever since.
Giorgio’s interest in ancient aliens began somewhat early in life. When he was just 17 years old, he had a vivid dream that he says changed the course of his life. In the dream, Giorgio encountered an alien being who told him that mankind descended from extraterrestrials who left Mars when it became too cold to survive there, and then went on to promote their advanced technology to humans around the world. He says this is not only when he first started researching the possibility of ancient alien intervention in human history, but it is also when he became a believer.
Giorgio has been preaching his theory ever since, and says he does not believe that any other alternative for mankind’s origin can be as convincing as his own. In fact, according to Giorgio, “The only time I hear anything related to ancient aliens on TV or from friends is people saying one thing: ‘I don’t know.'” He believes that the only reason why people claim they do not believe in the idea of ancient aliens is that they have never heard a plausible explanation-that until now, no one has successfully explained reported phenomena such as structures on Mars resembling those at Stonehenge. However, Giorgio believes that he is about to change people’s minds about the possibility of extraterrestrial involvement with mankind throughout history.
“I’m not saying I know. All I’m doing is presenting my point of view, and by no means do I claim it as fact,” said Giorgio. “If you look at what we’ve put together in an objective manner like a puzzle or jigsaw, everything fits – better than any other hypothesis.”
Giorgio has appeared on various television shows such as The Joe Rogan Experience podcast, America’s Book of Secrets, and Ancient Aliens. His appearances on these shows have helped him generate a huge following online. When asked whether he believes the ever-increasing number of viewers for his show will eventually lead to a government disclosure of the existence of extraterrestrials, he said “In my opinion, it will never happen.”
“Why would they admit the truth now that the secret is already out there? They waited 50 years before they admitted to having recovered a UFO. So what’s going to change now?”
Giorgio says the best way for people to open their minds and understand his point of view is by looking at pictures from Mars. He believes this evidence speaks for itself, but only if you actually look at it. In fact, Giorgio has devoted an entire website just to photos from Mars, where anyone can go and view these ‘anomalies’ for himself or herself. Along with these images are articles written by Giorgio and other authors to either validate or debunk them.
During one of his many speeches, Giorgio said, “Believing vs. knowing are two different things.” It seems that he has made up his mind about what is really out there, but still remains open to the idea that some aspects of ancient astronaut theories may be incorrect. The main goal for Giorgio at this point in time appears to be convincing people who have never even considered the possibility that extraterrestrials once visited Earth and influenced mankind in various ways throughout history that this could in fact be true. By continuing to produce and star in Ancient Aliens, it is highly likely we will continue hearing from him for years to come.
