“We’re in the Matrix” Tech CEO’s Cryptic Last Words
On her death, Erin Valenti left a cryptic message on her YouTube channel. In the video, she sits in front of her computer with her boyfriend, Luca Luparello. She says, “it’s all a game, it’s a thought experiment, we’re in the Matrix.”
Valenti was known for being a top-level player of “The Game.” The game, created by Erin and her boyfriend Luca Luparello, is played by scholars at major universities all across the country. It challenges players to form their own theories about society while testing their knowledge in various subjects. Players are also allowed to discuss their theories with other players.
In February 14th, 2016, Erin Valenti was found dead in her home in the early morning hours. The cause of death is unknown, and police are investigating it as a homicide.
Valenti was an outspoken supporter of ending gender discrimination and violence against women. She was well-known for her blog posts and YouTube videos where she discussed topics such as sexism, misogyny, and sexual assault on college campuses.

When Hailey entered the room to ask if Erin wanted breakfast food, she discovered that Erin’s body had lost all movement and was cold to the touch. Although police investigators were called to the scene at 8:30 AM, they will not comment on the nature of her death until further results come in.
Valenti’s body was sent for autopsy, and mid-April expects a full toxicology report.
